How to Join Our Church Family

We are excited that you are prayerfully considering becoming a member of Warrensville Road Community Baptist Church. Should you decide to do so, you may join by one of four opportunities:

Candidate for Baptism. If you have never been baptized but have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you may join as a candidate for baptism.

Reinstatement. If you are a former member of Warrensville Road Community Baptist Church and you wish to rejoin, you may reinstate your membership.

By Letter. If you are a former member of another Baptist Church and have a letter of introduction from that church, you may join by letter.

Under Christian Experience. If you have been baptized but have no current church affiliation or letter of introduction, you may join under your Christian Experience.

To begin the process of becoming a member of Warrensville Road Community Baptist Church:

  1. Come forward when the Pastor extends the invitation to discipleship at the conclusion of a worship service, OR
  2. Complete and submit the New Member Intake Form. (below)

If you come forward when the Pastor extends the invitation to discipleship, a member of the New Members Ministry will pray with you, collect some information, and provide you with details on the next steps. If you complete and submit the New Member Registration Form, a representative from the New Members Ministry will contact you in the manner that you prefer.

All new members are asked to attend our New Member classes. If you are a candidate for Baptism, we will provide further information concerning Baptism during the New Member classes.

 QUESTIONS ABOUT SALVATION

Do you still have questions, and need more clarification on church affiliation and salvation? Remember, salvation is not about membership with a local church. Salvation is about acknowledging Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, and assuring you have a personal relationship with him. With your salvation, comes membership into Christ’s Universal Church.

Romans 10:9-10 says: “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”

We are here to assist you in your decision. If you would like further discussion about salvation, we invite you to complete the Intake Form, and indicate such. A representative from the New Members Ministry will be honored to contact you for prayer and further discussion.
